Jenny has come to us from a breeder to begin her search for a forever home. She is a very worried little girl who is feeling very overwhelmed to find herself here and is in desperate need of love, patience, and gentle TLC. Initially timid and reserved, she has begun to show small but meaningful signs of progress as the days go by. She now feels comfortable enough to sit near her carer when they are seated on the floor in the play yard, even resting her head down and closing her eyes. She becomes excited when hearing her voice approach the kennels and will greet her with a tail wag and a sniff. She has recently started taking food from her Kennel Mum's hands and waits patiently for her empty yoghurt pot to be offered.

Though it may seem like a small step, this simple act demonstrates a significant amount of bravery and trust for a fearful dog.

Jenny is looking for a calm and quiet, adult-only home where she can settle in at her own pace. She would benefit greatly from adopters who have previous experience with scared ex-breeding dogs and who understand the time and patience it takes to help them blossom. She has met cats fine at the rescue and may be okay with a dog-savvy and sensible cat.

Initially, Jenny found being handled very worrying, but over time she has become slightly better at being handled and will now sit still in one of her beds for her carer to pick her up, rather than trying to run away. She’s still not a fan of it, but it is progress! She will need at least one other kind and confident resident dog in her new home to show her the way and help her learn that life can be safe and happy. Jenny enjoys spending time with her kennel friends in the play yard and trots around with her tail in the air.

As Jenny has never lived in a home before, everything will be new for her. She will need kind, understanding adopters who can support her as she learns all about home life, including house training and other new skills. She has started walking down to one of our secure play areas, which is located just down the lane from the rescue. She does this on a harness and with another dog by her side for comfort, and although she is doing this well, she will need lots of practice in a secure garden before venturing out into the wider world.

Jenny will need a very secure home and garden as she is currently a bit of a flight risk. With time, patience, and lots of love, we know this special girl has the potential to flourish and discover the joys of being a much-loved family member.

Jenna has a Grade 3 heart murmur; she doesn't require any medication for this but it is something her adopters and their vet will need to monitor going forward. She has had 1 tooth extracted and our vet noted she was already missing 4. One of her third eyelids is projecting slightly over the corneal surface, but this isn't causing any issues.

Jenny has a travel document.
