Nancy
18-09-25 Nancy’s story is one of quiet courage and untapped love. She first came to us from a breeder, carrying with her the gentleness of a soul that had never truly been cherished. From the start, she has shown us her kind heart and her longing to trust, even while the world around her still feels so new.
Nancy was briefly adopted, but sadly returned, not because she lacked beauty or goodness, but because she needs more time, more patience, and more understanding than her adopter was able to give. Her progress may be slower than some, when it comes to training and learning to settle, but every step she takes is a step forward, and she deserves someone who will celebrate those moments with her.
Over her time with us, Nancy has already begun to explore the world, learning what it means to walk on a lead and to adjust to life in a home. These are big milestones for a girl who has never known true family life. And with each small step, she shows us the promise of who she will become, a loyal, gentle companion who just needs love and patience to fully blossom.
Nancy’s ideal home will include at least one calm, resident dog who can guide her and give her the steady reassurance she craves. She would also benefit from a family that understands the beauty of slow progress, children who can respect her space, and people who see past her uncertainties to the affectionate Labrador heart beating beneath.
She has been through medical care, including removal of a small lump at the time of her spay, and is healing from hormonal alopecia that, with time, love, and care, will continue to improve.
Nancy is not asking for perfection. She is asking for someone to meet her where she is, with open arms, a gentle heart, and the patience to let her story unfold at her own pace. She is ready to keep learning, to trust again, and to finally live the life she has always deserved: one filled with warmth, safety, and love.
Nancy has a travel document.
