20-08-25 Dean is a sweet and bubbly Golden Retriever who has come to us from a breeder in Ireland, and he is already showing us glimpses of the wonderful companion he will become. He has an inquisitive nature and loves to potter about, watching what we’re up to as we carry out our daily tasks around the rescue.

At the moment, Dean is still finding his paws in this new world, and when he feels a little less brave, he seeks comfort in the company of his kennel friends. For this reason, we feel he would be happiest in a home with another dog who can offer him support, reassurance, and friendship. That said, we’ll continue to assess his confidence while he’s with us, as there’s every chance that with time, love, and patience, Dean could adapt to being an only dog if his new family is able to dedicate plenty of time to him.

As Dean has never lived in a home before, he will need to learn all about the basics of family life, like house training, lead training, and the gentle rhythm of a safe and loving home. With his happy and eager-to-please nature, we don’t think it will take him long to get the hang of it.

Dean arrived with some cuts on his ear, and he is receiving treatment to help him feel more comfortable. Despite this, his tail still wags, and his cheerful spirit shines through.

This wonderful boy has such a friendly and joyful personality, and we know he will make a fantastic addition to the right home. With patience, kindness, and love, Dean is sure to flourish into the loyal and devoted companion that every Golden Retriever is destined to be.
