Cheeko is a stunning Collie who originally came to us from a breeder and was adopted for a short period of time, but was returned as the home was not the right match for her. When she first arrived to us, she was extremely nervous and would often hide, unsure of people’s intentions. She then found herself in foster where her personality blossomed into a curious and playful little lady. Watching her cautious nature was heartbreaking, but with gentle reassurance, patience, and understanding, we knew she had the potential to learn to trust and feel safe.

Her confidence is starting to shine through, and she now greets people with boundless enthusiasm, absolutely loving the attention from friendly faces. Cheeko will need an adult-only home where she can settle in at her own pace. She has lived with cats in her previous foster home and can be homed with dog-savvy cats.

Cheeko loves other playful dogs and really looks to them for companionship. She enjoys playing with confident, sociable companions and could happily be rehomed with another playful dog and will need a friend in her home to take her under their wing. However, she would not suit a timid dog, as her vibrant personality might be overwhelming for them.

Cheeko is looking for an active home in a rural setting, ideally with a large garden or some land where she can run and play freely. She’s a lively, energetic girl who thrives on activity and stimulation, so she’ll need a family who can keep her busy both physically and mentally. A spacious outdoor environment will give her the room she needs to burn off energy and enjoy life to the fullest.

Cheeko is a highly intelligent girl who will benefit from owners who understand her breed and can provide guidance, structure, and enrichment. With the right environment, she is set to become a fun-loving, loyal, and devoted companion. While she was in foster, she was 99% clean in her foster home, but her adopters will need to be understanding as she settles in to a new home in the chance that an accident does happen.

Cheeko would still benefit from ongoing socialisation and learning the little lessons of home life, including lead and house training. Her adopters will also need to agree to have her spayed at the appropriate age, as per the adoption agreement.

We are looking for a loving, patient home that can give Cheeko the care, attention, and enrichment she deserves. In the right hands, this beautiful girl has every potential to flourish into a truly joyful and affectionate member of the family.

Cheeko has been spayed and has been treated for bilateral conjunctivitis.

She has a travel document.
