  • Human family requirements

I need a calm home where I won’t be overwhelmed while I settle in at my own pace.

  • Other pet requirements

I need a resident dog to help me feel safe. I've never met cats so I'm unsure!

  • House and garden requirements

I’m still shy, so I will need a secure garden while I get used to my new home.

  • Out and about requirements

I'm still getting used to my new life so a secure garden for me to explore is ideal.

  • Training needs

Please be patient with me, I need to learn lead walking and house manners.

  • Medical issues

I have had 2 teeth extracted and need medicated baths for my skin at the moment.

10-09-25 Higgeldy Piggeldy is a sweet little Dachshund who has come to us from her breeder in Ireland in search of a new start. She is a nervous girl who will run away if you get too close, but it’s clear that she finds a lot of comfort in the company of her kennel friends.

At the moment, she is feeling unsure and a little less brave, so we feel it would be best for her to be rehomed with another dog who can provide support and companionship as she learns to settle into her new life.

As she has never lived in a home before, Higgeldy Piggeldy will need to learn all about house training, lead training, and the other basics of home life. With time, patience, and the guidance of a resident dog, she will make wonderful progress.

She has arrived with a skin rash on her abdomen and thighs, and there is some hair loss on her ears. She is currently receiving some medicated baths to help with this. She also had 2 teeth extracted at the time of her spay.

Higgeldy Piggeldy is an inquisitive little lady who, with some TLC and a cosy, patient home, will blossom into a truly lovely companion.
