14-09-25 Kimba has come to us from a breeder to find the loving forever home she truly deserves. She is a shy girl who is understandably a little overwhelmed to find herself here, but she shows us glimpses of her sweet nature every day. Once she feels safe, she is happy to come over to say hello and enjoys a gentle fuss.

Kimba is looking for a calm and quiet home where she can settle at her own pace, with patient adopters who will give her the time and understanding she needs to blossom. She relies on the comfort of her kennel friends, so she will need a home where there is at least one other kind and confident resident dog to help guide her and show her how wonderful life can be.

As Kimba has never lived in a home before, everything will be new to her. She will need to learn all about home life, including new skills like house training and how to walk on a lead, but with reassurance and support she will soon find her feet.

Kimba arrived with some thickened and hardened skin on he ears, which our vets believe is the result of an old haematoma or past injury. She also has a hot spot and some old pressure sores, which are improving with care. A specialist vet has also noted some hardness in her joints and has recommended x-rays to investigate this further. On review of these, it has been noted that there is some inflammation of the left stifle as well as the patellas sitting more laterally, no action is needed currently and the specialist has advised monitoring this and it may improve with gentle exercise, as she builds muscle tone. Should she require any treatment in the future, it would not be covered by insurance and so for this reason she is by donation.

Despite her past, Kimba is a gentle soul who just needs the right home to help her shine. With love, patience and the company of a kind canine companion, she has the chance to enjoy the happy future she so deserves.
