Merlin has been with us for a little while now, and is so ready for a home to call his own. This handsome, hunky bulldog has come such a long way since arriving from a breeder. He is full of energy, charm, and that classic bulldog enthusiasm for life, Merlin is a confident boy with a wonderfully larger-than-life personality.

Since coming to us, Merlin has undergone BOAS surgery and a nasal wedge resection to help him breathe more easily, and he has recovered brilliantly. He is thriving and clearly feeling much more comfortable, with his zest for life shining through. As part of his recovery, he has been fed in an elevated position – something Merlin has decided is a great new game!

Merlin walks nicely on lead and enjoys his strolls, though we are still building his stamina at a sensible pace. True to bulldog form, he would happily charge around like a loon if allowed, so his new family will need to help him balance his enthusiasm with his ongoing fitness needs.

He is an affectionate and confident boy who absolutely adores attention and will lean right in for cuddles. Merlin would like a home where he can be the only dog, allowing him to soak up all the love and attention for himself.

Merlin could live with older, dog-savvy children who are comfortable with his big personality and occasional “bulldozer” moments. A secure garden would be ideal, giving him space to explore, play, and show off his goofy side.

Merlin is a delight to everyone he meets with his affectionate nature and playful spirit. He is a clever, people-focused boy who just wants to be involved in everything and will bring laughter, love, and endless character to his new home.

With his big heart, cheeky grin, and boundless enthusiasm, Merlin is more than ready to start the next chapter of his life with a family to call his own.

He has been treated for a cyst between his toes that has been drained and is being monitored. Experience with this breed is ideal - his lip folds and ears need regular checking and cleaning to help him stay comfortable.
