Arlo

22-09-25 Arlo is a handsome boy who has come to us from a home as he found living with young children very overwhelming, so he is now looking for a calmer, quieter household where he can feel safe and secure. At just 18 months old, Arlo is still a young boy with so much potential, and in the right home we know he is going to truly thrive.

Arlo is a sweet and affectionate boy, especially once he has had time to get to know you and build up his trust. He can feel nervous around strangers and in new situations, and we have been told that he has nipped in the past, both in a home and at the vets. Because of this, Arlo will need an adult only home, with no visiting children, and with adopters who have plenty of dog experience and are willing to give him the time and understanding he needs to progress at his own pace. However, he has been an absolute angel here at the rescue and is lovely to anyone and everyone he meets. He absolutely adores people and just wants to please. He is just looking for a home that can understand him and work with him.

Although Arlo is friendly with other dogs, he isn't as keen to share his space, so he will need to be the only dog in the home where he can enjoy all the love, attention, and fuss for himself.

Arlo is used to living in a home environment and is house trained, though he may need a few reminders as he settles in. He walks nicely on a lead and would love an active home that can provide him with both mental and physical stimulation. With patient, experienced adopters who can help build his confidence and show him the world isn’t such a scary place, Arlo will blossom into the most loyal and loving companion.
