Patty
Patty came to us from a breeder to find her forever home, and what a little sweetheart she has turned out to be. When she first arrived, she was a very timid girl who needed time and gentle encouragement to feel safe. With patience, love, and the reassurance of her canine friends, Patty has started to blossom into the most affectionate and happy little soul.
Patty has found her way into foster and her confidence has grown beautifully. She now comes up to us for love and cuddles and has even discovered the joy of curling up on the sofa for fuss and attention! Her tail rarely stops wagging, and she loves to follow her humans around to see what’s going on.
Patty adores the company of other dogs and finds great comfort in having them nearby, so she will need a kind and confident resident dog (or two!) in her new home to help guide her and keep her feeling secure. She gets on very well with the dogs she’s met here and is happiest when surrounded by friendly canine companions.
Patty is still learning about home life, but she’s doing ever so well. Toilet training is in progress, and she walks beautifully on a lead, staying right by your side. She had no trouble putting on her harness and enjoys her little walks with quiet confidence. She has been fine when left for a short time, as long as her doggy friends are around for company.
Patty would suit an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy teenagers who understand her gentle nature and can give her the time and space she needs to continue building her confidence.
Patty has been spayed, had a mammary lump and two bladder stones removed, and also had seven teeth extracted. She’s healing well and is feeling much happier and more comfortable now.
Patty truly is an affectionate, loving girl who has come such a long way in a short time. With a little more patience and plenty of love, she will continue to flourish and bring endless joy to her lucky new family.
