River
04-10-25 River has come to us from a breeder and is very worried around humans. She needs a home with plenty of patience, love and kindness and we think she will thrive in a calm, gentle home where there is at least one other kind dog who can offer her comfort and support.
River has a cataract in her left eye and our vets have noted that she has two fractured teeth. They aren't currently causing any issues, so it has been advised to leave them and just monitor them for now.
River loves to cuddle up to other dogs and having a canine friend or friends will help boost her confidence, showing her that people can be trusted. Her new friend(s) will also help her learn important new skills such as house training and lead walking. These things may take her time, as the garden may feel as overwhelming as the inside of a home at first.
With gentle words of encouragement, reassurance and praise, River will gradually begin to realise that there is nothing to fear. With time and patience, her adopters will have the joy of seeing her slowly blossom into the happy, confident girl she was always meant to be.
River has a travel document.
