01-10-25 Joey is a gorgeous boy who has come to us from a home, although we are unsure of his exact story. What is clear is that this bouncy Boxer has lacked the structure and consistency he so clearly craves. Now he’s ready to find his forever family who can give him the love, patience, and guidance he deserves.

Joey is your typical Boxer, full of energy, character, and affection. He absolutely adores human attention and loves nothing more than being close to his favourite person. He doesn’t mind other dogs and could happily live alongside a canine companion, or he could be the only dog in the home where he can soak up all the attention for himself.

Although Joey seems comfortable in the house, it’s clear he hasn’t been taught the basics yet. He will need help learning his house manners and guidance to understand that this time, he is truly home. We’ve been told that Joey can be a little wary about giving up his toys once he has them, but this is understandable, he likely hasn’t had much of his own before. With patience and reassurance, he will learn to trust that there will always be plenty for him.

Out and about, Joey can be a bit strong on the lead, but with training and consistency he will improve. What he really wants is to be an adventure buddy, he would love to go on plenty of walks and explorations with his new family.

Joey will need an adult-only home where he can settle at his own pace, but he has met older children and could be fine with older visiting kids. With the right support, this handsome boy will blossom into the most loyal, loving companion and bring endless joy to his forever home.

Our vets have noted that he has the very start of cataracts in his eyes, this doesn't effect his vision and his adopters will need to monitor this alongside their vet.
