Dobbie
Dobbie is a sweet older gentleman who has recently returned to our care after sadly losing his previous family. Even at 14 years old, he still has a wonderful zest for life, a waggy tail, and a love of tennis balls that will bring joy to anyone who meets him.
Dobbie has been settling into foster life and, while he has shown the occasional hint of confusion and sadness at missing home, he has taken the change in his stride like a true champion. He adores companionship and likes to be close to his people. Dobbie will toddle around the room with you, quietly follow you from room to room, and after a long day, he will happily settle on your lap for a gentle fuss and a snooze. He doesn’t really understand beds or sofas, so having a comfy little space on the floor in each room works perfectly for him.
He loves his walks, though he’s happy as long as he is with you, whether it’s a gentle stroll or a longer adventure. Dobbie can live with other dogs, especially small dogs, but would prefer a home without cats. He will need a family who can be around most of the time, as he doesn’t like being left alone and can be vocal if left by himself.
Dobbie is a playful, sometimes cheeky little man who enjoys a game of fetch and proudly brings the ball back for more fun. He has lived in a home before and understands the basics, though he may need gentle reminders with house training as he settles back into home life.
Dobbie is looking for a loving, patient forever home where he can enjoy his golden years, have plenty of cuddles, and continue to share his affectionate and loyal personality with the people who love him.
