Elkie
16-10-25 Elkie is a very sweet and sensitive young boy who has come to us from a breeder as an unsold pup. At the moment, he is understandably nervous of human hands and seems to have had very little positive interaction with people in his short life so far. He is cautious and unsure of our intentions, often seeking comfort and reassurance from other dogs rather than people.
Because of this, Elkie will need a home with a resident dog to help him feel safe and build his confidence, although we will continue to assess him in the coming days to see whether he might eventually be able to settle as an only dog.
Elkie’s future family will need to be patient and committed to helping him grow into the confident, happy dog he deserves. This includes agreeing to have him neutered when he is of age and taking him to puppy socialization and training classes at the appropriate time.
This sweet boy is so young, yet understandably fearful, and it is absolutely heart-breaking to see. With love, gentle guidance, and the right support, Elkie has the potential to blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion. He truly deserves a patient family who will nurture him and help him build the confidence he needs to thrive.
