Lafufu originally came to us from a breeder to find his forever home. When he first arrived, he was a little overwhelmed by all the changes, but he has settled beautifully and is showing us what a gentle and affectionate little soul he is.

Now enjoying life in his foster home, Lafufu is doing really well with his house training, sleeps quietly on the human bed all night, and travels happily in the car. He is a lovely-natured chap who is easy to handle, although he can still be a little unsure of the intentions of human hands. With kindness and patience, his confidence continues to grow each day.

Lafufu absolutely adores the company of other dogs and will need at least one kind and friendly dog of a similar size in his new home to be his companion. Having canine friends helps him feel safe, gives him confidence, and brings him great joy, especially when it’s time for snuggles in a pile of fluffy blankets! We would consider homing him with understanding dog-savvy teenagers who respect his space as he settles.

He hasn’t started walking on a lead just yet, but he enjoys being carried out with the other dogs and taking in all the sights and sounds of the world. His new family will need to continue his gentle introduction to walking and all the other wonderful experiences of home life.

When Lafufu was castrated, he also had 38 teeth removed, so he will benefit from a soft food diet to keep him comfortable and happy going forward.

Lafufu will need adopters who understand Dachshunds and their needs, and who can offer him a calm, loving environment where he can continue to blossom. In return, this sweet boy will bring so much love, warmth, and quiet joy to his forever family.
