Emu
17-10-25 Emu is a shy little boy who has come to us from a breeder and is unsure of people at first. He can be timid when he is alone but is much happier and more confident when he is with his kennel friends. He will need a kind resident dog in his new home to help show him the ropes and build his confidence.
Emu can be difficult to pick up and will need gentle guidance to learn that human hands can be kind and safe. He has never lived in a home, so he will need patient adopters to help him learn about house training, walking on a lead, and all the basics of home life.
Being so young, Emu will need kind and patient adopters who understand that he will take time to settle. Once he is confident, his adopters must be committed to taking him to socialisation and training classes and agree to have him neutered when he is old enough. Our vets have noted that he has some retained upper canine teeth at the moment, so these may need to be extracted when he his neutered.
With time, patience, and love, Emu has the potential to blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion.
