Joni is a sweet, sensitive girl who came to us from a breeder. She is nervous and cautious, often scared to approach until she knows you and understands your intentions. She is not settled into a foster home and is starting to make steady progress.

She will need an adult-only home where she can settle in at her own pace, along with a calm, confident resident dog to help her feel safe and take her under their wing. She is living alongside a couple of cats and so far this has been fine and she listens to instructions to leave them alone if she becomes too curious.

Since living in foster, Joni has learnt house training and started walking on a lead. This is great progress, but she will need lots of practice to master both so she will need encouragement and support to become comfortable with new experiences at her own pace. Her adopters will need to be patient and gentle as she explores her new environment and gains confidence.

With the right care, love, and a steady canine companion, Joni has the potential to blossom into a trusting, happy little companion. She will thrive in a calm, nurturing home that allows her to take life one step at a time.
