Jam
Jam is a truly sweet and affectionate lady with a gentle nature who has been settling beautifully into life in a loving home. She came to us from a breeder and, like many dogs adjusting to a new environment, she was initially a little nervous. With patience and care, however, her quiet confidence and affectionate personality have shone through, and she is now thriving.
Jam is now in foster and is a very people-focused girl who loves being close to her humans. She is incredibly affectionate, enjoys snuggling on the sofa, and follows her family around the house with curiosity and gentle enthusiasm. She walks well on the lead, is comfortable in her harness, and adores her trips to the park. While she can be a little shy around unfamiliar dogs, she responds warmly when they are friendly, giving a sweet tail wag.
While Jam would happily live with another gentle dog, she has proven that she can also be an only dog. She doesn’t rely on other dogs for reassurance, is confident exploring the park alone, and enjoys her own space at home. She is very content doing her own thing, making her adaptable to a range of household setups. She has met cats here and seems comfortable, so she may be able to live with a cat who is dog-savvy.
Jam is building her confidence and learning the routines of home life. Her house training is coming along very well, and she enjoys spending time in the garden. She is still learning, but with gentle guidance, positive experiences, and a calm, loving environment, she is blossoming into a relaxed, happy companion.
This lovely lady had a few dental extractions (four teeth removed) prior to her stay, and she continues to show resilience and sweetness in every way. Jam is looking for a calm, understanding, and patient home where she can feel safe, loved, and fully part of the family. Those who open their hearts to her will find a loyal, affectionate, and truly wonderful companion who will bring warmth and happiness for many years to come.
