  • Human family requirements

I would like a calm and quiet home where I can settle in at my own pace.

  • Other pet requirements

I need a kind resident dog to help me settle in and I am fine with cats.

  • House and garden requirements

I would love a garden to potter around in.

  • Out and about requirements

I can walk on a lead, but prefer quiet areas.

  • Training needs

I have lived in a home before so know the basics.

  • Medical issues

I have dirty ears that require cleaning and have had all my teeth extracted.

24-10-25 Tiggy is a very worried girl that will need a quiet home without many visitors.

Tiggy originally came to us from a breeder in 2021. She was adopted and found a wonderful home where she has been loved and cherished, but sadly her adopter has now passed away and so she is back in our care. She has gone straight to a foster home where she is settling in well, please read below to see what her fosterer has to say about the home she is looking for.

Tiggy currently has dirty ears, but these are being cleaned regularly and don;t cause her any issues. She recently had a dental where her remaining teeth were extracted and so will require a soft food diet.

A Very Special Home Needed for Tiggy

This is a really hard post to write.. Tiggy was my foster dog around 7 years ago. She went to live with a dear friend who we sadly lost two weeks ago. My friends family tried to settle Tiggy in their house but they live in the centre of London with a very busy household and Tiggy found it was too scary.

Tigs spent her first years of life as a breeding dog and her poor start has left her still very nervous. When she has her persons she absolutely loves them but is still worried by sudden noises or new people coming in. She doesn’t have a bad bone in her body and very much takes comfort from a clam and kind resident dog (she wouldn’t cope on her own) so with the terribly sad passing of my friend I have been left to do my absolute best for her and find her everything she deserves in life, so I’m tentatively starting to think about looking for the perfect person for dear Tiggy.

She’s incredibly special to me - not only because of everything she’s been through, but because she’s also a precious link to my lost friend. That makes finding the right home for her feel even more important, and honestly quite emotional.

Tiggy had an awful start to life, and although she’s come such a long way, she’s still a very nervous little soul. She’s the sort of dog so many people - especially older ones - might dream of having by their side, but she needs someone very gentle and understanding. There are still times when she’s too frightened to be caught, and if startled, she would run. Because of that, her home has to be just right.

Tiggy’s Perfect Home Would Have:

  • A kind, calm resident dog - she takes all her courage from having a gentle companion by her side.
  • Someone who doesn’t mind sharing their sofa and bed - that’s where she feels safest and most loved.
  • A fit and able person who can bend down to catch or pick her up when needed.
  • A quiet countryside home where she can enjoy peaceful, on-lead walks (she’s 11 but full of life!).
  • No busy young children - she finds too much noise and movement overwhelming.
  • She’s fine with cats - she’s met mine and wasn’t fussed at all.
  • She’s fully housetrained and loves her home comforts.
  • And most importantly, her new owner must please stay in touch with me. She will always hold a piece of my heart.

She is such a tender, special girl - one who just needs love, patience, and another kind dog to show her that life can be safe and happy
