  • Human family requirements

I need a quiet home where I won’t be overwhelmed while I settle in at my own pace.

  • Other pet requirements

I need a resident dog to help me feel safe. I've never met cats so I'm unsure!

  • House and garden requirements

I’m nervous and will need a secure garden to toilet and exercise in.

  • Out and about requirements

I'm still getting used to my new life so a secure garden for me to explore is ideal.

  • Training needs

I’ve never lived in a home, so I need to learn housetraining and lead walking.

  • Medical issues

I am spayed and ready to find my forever home.

4-11-25 Miriam is a nervous Bernese Mountain Dog who has come to us from a breeder in Ireland. She is not brave enough to approach us at the moment, but she will allow a fuss if you go slow with her.

At the moment, she is feeling a little less brave and is finding comfort in the company of her kennel friends. It would be best for Miriam to be rehomed with another dog for support and companionship, as she is clearly more comfortable and confident in their presence.

As Miriam has never lived in a home before, she will need to learn all about house training and other basics of home life. We have started training her with a harness, so she is already making good progress.

Miriam is a really sweet-natured girl who will make a lovely companion. She is smaller than the average-sized Bernese, so she won't take up too much room on your sofa, maybe.

She has one very worn down tooth, but it was decided not to extract it at this time.

Miriam has a PETS travel document.

Miriam has been given the Gift of Life by James Hall
