  • Human family requirements

I’d be happy with older dog-savvy children who respect my space.

  • Other pet requirements

I need a resident dog to help me feel safe. I've never met cats so I'm unsure!

  • House and garden requirements

I’m still shy, so I will need a secure garden while I get used to my new home.

  • Out and about requirements

I’ve never been on walks before and will need a gentle introduction.

  • Training needs

I’ve never lived in a home, so I need to learn housetraining and lead walking.

  • Medical issues

I have a low grade luxating patella in my right leg that is being monitored.

04-11-25 Kennedy is a sweet little Yorkshire Terrier who has come to us from a breeder in Ireland. He is rather shy, and he will not approach us, but when he is picked up, he begins to relax and will actually nuzzle in, finding comfort in kind hands.

At the moment, Kennedy is feeling a little less brave and is finding further comfort in the company of his kennel friends. For this reason, it would be best for him to be rehomed with another dog for support and companionship. As Kennedy has never lived in a home before, he will need to learn all about house training, lead training, and other basics of home life.

Kennedy could share his home with older, dog-savvy children who can appreciate and understand that he will need a gentle, quiet introduction to the home and his own space to settle in.

Kennedy has seen our vet, and he has a low-grade luxating patella on his right leg, so this is being monitored.

This little boy will make a wonderful companion once he has settled in and found some confidence. Do you have space on your sofa for a snuggle bug?

Kennedy has been given the Gift of Life by Carol Johnson
