  • Human family requirements

I will need an adult-only home where I can settle in at my own pace.

  • Other pet requirements

I need a doggy friend in my new home. I have met cats fine.

  • House and garden requirements

I would love a garden to run and play in!

  • Out and about requirements

I can now walk on a lead, but am worried by traffic, so need more practice.

  • Training needs

I am in a foster home now so am learning all about home life and house training.

  • Medical issues

I have been spayed and am ready for my forever home.

Byrdie has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. When she first arrived, she was a very worried little girl who was in desperate need of love and TLC and would spend most of her time in her bed, unsure of our intentions. She recently moved to a foster home and the transformation in her has been wonderful to see! She will now approach her fosterers for a fuss, enjoys playing with toys, and joins in play with the resident dogs too.

Byrdie will be looking for a calm and quiet home, where there was at least one other kind and confident resident dog to be her friend and take her under their wing. She gets on well with every dog she meets and really finds comfort from their presence. She has met a cat and showed no interest at all, so may be able to be homed with a dog savvy cat.

While she can still be nervous around new people, once she knows you she’s more than happy to enjoy some fuss and attention. Byrdie has become very affectionate with her fosterers and will now sit beside them and absolutely adores a cuddle.

She would love to find an active home, where once she is feeling braver she can be kept both physically and mentally stimulated. She has learned all about walking on a lead and harness and now walks nicely on the lead, though she is still nervous around traffic. She travels well in the car too but needs a little help getting in and out.

Byrdie had never lived in a home before moving to her foster home, but she has settled in wonderfully and is now clean in the house.

She really is a very special girl and we think that in her forever home she will blossom into a loyal, affectionate companion.

Byrdie has a travel document.
