This gorgeous girl, Britta, first came to us from a breeder, she was then was adopted for a short time before being returned after an incident with a small visiting dog. Because of this, Britta will need to be the only dog in her home, with no resident or visiting dogs at all. Full information will, of course, be shared with any successful applicant, because Britta deserves a family who understands her past and still chooses her wholeheartedly. And oh, how she gives her heart in return.

Britta will be looking for a home with adopters who have experience with Boxers or with similar large breeds. She is everything you’d expect from a boxer and more, joyful, goofy, affectionate, and completely obsessed with her humans. If you sit down, she is instantly pressed against you, trying to lick you senseless or climbing into your lap… or onto your head… because in Britta’s mind, there is no such thing as too close. Being apart from her people is simply not an option in her world.

Her confidence continues to shine. Britta walks wonderfully on the lead, though sometimes she forgets she’s attached to one and attempts to sprint off in pure excitement, which never fails to make us laugh. She finds joy in absolutely everything, from a quick sniff outside to a silly game in the yard. Her enthusiasm is infectious, and it’s impossible not to smile in her presence.

Though she plays beautifully with her kennel friend here, Britta is happiest when all the love is hers alone. She’s looking for a home where she will be someone’s everything, a family who doesn’t mind a true Velcro dog glued lovingly to their side. She tries her very best to keep her kennel clean, keeps her bedding tidy, and shows us every day just how much she wants to belong somewhere for good.

Britta has never fully lived in a home before, so her new family will need to guide her through house training and daily routines. However, she is already trying her very hardest to be kennel clean, so it shouldn't take long for this to reflect in the home. Everything will be new to her, but with patience, kindness, and gentle structure, she will settle beautifully. She has a slightly overshot jaw, but it doesn’t affect her in any way and if anything, it only adds to her already irresistible charm.

This girl is energy, heart, softness, silliness, and soul all wrapped into one boxer-shaped miracle. She will thrive in an active, adult-only home where someone is around often to keep her company, go on adventures with her, and remind her every day that she is safe, wanted, and loved.

Britta has her travel document.
