Aubergine
31-10-25 Aubergine has come to us from a breeder after being unsold, and he’s finding the big wide world a little overwhelming right now. This gentle boy has the most heartbreakingly worried little expression, and is in need of love and kindness. We can already see the glimmers of the lovely soul hiding beneath his uncertainty. With time, patience, and gentle reassurance, we know that Aubergine will begin to blossom into the happy dog he’s meant to be.
Aubergine takes great comfort from the company of other dogs and will need a kind, resident canine friend in his new home to help guide and support him as he learns about life as a much-loved pet. He has never lived in a home before, so everything will be new to him and his adopters will need to be kind and understanding as he adjust to home life and learns new skills like toilet training and how to walk on a lead.
Once he finds his paws, we think Aubergine will adore his walks and would thrive in an active home where he can explore safely alongside his doggy friend. He could be homed with dog-savvy older children who can respect his need for space and gentle handling.
This dear boy deserves a lifetime of love and understanding. With the right family by his side, we’re certain his worried little face will soon be replaced by the happiest of smiles.
Aubergine will need to attend puppy socialisation classes and his adopters will need to agree to have him neutered at the appropriate age as per the adoption agreement.
He has a small area of hair loss on his right leg, but this may grow back with time.
Aubergine has been given the Gift of Life by Leanne Robinson
