02-11-25 Ribena has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is the most adorable little girl, but she’s feeling very nervous and unsure of herself at the moment. It’s clear that she hasn’t had much handling or socialisation in her past, and right now she prefers to hide away quietly at the back of her kennel. With some gentle love and care, we know that in time she’ll begin to find her confidence and show her sweet personality.

Ribena will be looking for a calm and quiet home with patient adopters who will let her settle in at her own pace, without any pressure. She will need another kind and confident resident dog in her new home to take her under their wing and help her learn that the world isn’t such a scary place.

As Ribena has never lived in a home before, everything will be new to her. Her adopters will need to help her learn all about home life, including house training and getting used to everyday sights and sounds. She will also need to learn to walk on a lead and harness, starting in a secure garden until she feels ready to explore further.

Our vets have noted that she is developing cataracts in both eyes, which will need to be monitored. She also has a luxating patella on her left side, but this may improve with gentle exercise as she builds muscle.
