Cyra
17-11-25 Cyra originally came to us from a breeder in 2023 and was adopted into a wonderful, caring home. Sadly, her owner became unwell and also grew concerned that Cyra herself might be facing medical issues, as they wanted the best for her, they made the difficult decision to return her to us.
Since arriving, Cyra has been nothing but sweet, gentle, and easy to handle. She is a little overwhelmed in the rescue environment and clearly missing the comfort and routine of family life. She walks beautifully on a harness at a slow, steady pace and is perfect with all other dogs.
Because she has previously lived in a home, Cyra already understands the basics and the usual household routines, although the odd accident may happen as she learns her new surroundings. With kindness and reassurance, she will settle back into home life very quickly. Although, she can be a bit stubborn when she is out on walks and her kennel mummy is working with her on this. She has grown so much in confidence, and can be an only dog in the right home and with adopters around to give her the attention she craves, or with a kind resident dog that does not mind sharing their space. Cyra has such a gentle personality and can live with older dog-savvy cats and teens who respect her space as she settles in.
Although her former owner worried she may have underlying health concerns, we have carried out a full set of tests, including bloodwork, urine testing, thyroid checks, and a bladder scan. All results came back clear. Cyra is, however, overweight and will benefit from a gentle, steady weight-loss plan to help her return to a healthy body condition.
Cyra is a truly lovely girl who deserves to feel safe and cherished again. With patience, warmth, and a canine friend by her side, she will blossom into the devoted, affectionate companion she’s meant to be.
