08-11-25 Beautiful Rosie has come to us from a loving home after her heartbroken owner sadly had to part with her due to a baby in the home being allergic. It’s clear Rosie has been very well loved, she’s a wonderfully affectionate girl who absolutely adores people and thrives on fuss, cuddles, and attention.

Rosie is a happy, playful soul who loves to be part of family life. She’s loyal, loving, and always ready to make you smile. Playtime is her favourite time of day and she gets so excited for a game of fetch or tug of war and will throw herself wholeheartedly into every moment!

Rosie could be homed as an only dog as long as her adopters are around for most of the day and have plenty of time to devote to her. She could also happily live with another kind resident dog. She has been around children before, so we would consider homing her with gentle, dog-savvy older children. We’re told she’s fine with cats, though she hasn’t met any here with us yet.

Rosie has quite the list of loves! She enjoys playing fetch and tug of war, giving out kisses (especially licking your feet!), cuddling up for ear tickles and belly rubs, and going on adventures to the park or the beach. She adores water and will make a beeline for it whenever she can, happily splashing about and swimming to her heart’s content! After a busy day, she loves nothing more than curling up on her back for a nap.. and be warned, she snores like a little freight train! She’s also a fan of chews and raw broccoli.

There are a few things Rosie’s not too keen on, like fireworks, loud noises, vegetables (other than broccoli, of course!), and long car journeys.

As Rosie has lived in a home before, she’s used to all the sights and sounds of family life and is house trained, though she may need a few gentle reminders as she settles into her new surroundings.

At the moment she is a little overweight, but with a good diet and some gentle exercise, she should shed this in no time. She has also come to us with swelling on the upper right side of the hip that the vets will assess further but believe that it may be a fatty lump. She is developing cataracts due to old age and has an overbite.

Rosie is such a joyful, loving girl who will bring endless laughter and love to her new family. We can’t wait to see her back in a home where she can be her playful, snuggly self, enjoying all the love she so deserves.
