Star
02-12-25 Star is a stunning Border Collie who has found his way to us through no fault of his own. This sweet boy is a little shy at first, which is only natural after such a big change. Moving from a home environment to a rescue can be a lot for any dog. But once he realises you’re a friend, Star’s true personality shines through. He quickly warms up to you and has been enjoying playing here.
Star was very briefly adopted, but his adopters had to make the sad decision to return him to our care as he did not want to share his home with any other dogs and can become quite anxious around them or try to guard his new humans from them. We think he will be happiest in an adult only home, where he can get all the love and attention for himself.
His adopters couldn't stress enough how wonderful he was in all other aspects. He marked initially but then was clean in the house. He loved going for walks and adventures and travelled well in the car. He is a clever boy who knows "sit", "paw" and "down", but his recall does need some work!
Star is a bright, active boy who’s full of that classic Collie energy. He’ll need a family who loves outdoor adventures and understands how to keep a Collie’s clever mind engaged. Puzzle toys, training sessions, and plenty of playtime will all help keep him happy and fulfilled.
As he’s come from a home, Star already knows many of the sights and sounds of family life. He may have a few accidents as he adjusts to his new routine, but with kindness, patience, and reassurance, he’ll soon find his feet again.
Star is patiently waiting for the right family who will take him on exciting adventures, throw his ball for hours, and shower him with the love he so deserves. In return, he’ll give his whole heart and be the most loyal companion you could ask for.
