  • Human family requirements

I need a quiet home where I won’t be overwhelmed while I settle in at my own pace.

  • Other pet requirements

I need a resident dog to help me feel safe but I haven’t met cats yet so I'm not sure

  • House and garden requirements

I’m still shy, so I will need a secure garden while I get used to my new home.

  • Out and about requirements

Walks are too scary for me yet, maybe some slow garden sniffs will be a good start.

  • Training needs

Please be patient with me, I'm nervous and learning everything from scratch.

  • Medical issues

I have been spayed and am ready for my forever home.

Lady is a sweet, gentle 4-year-old Cocker Spaniel who has come to us from a breeder and is now looking for a patient, understanding forever home. She arrived unsure and overwhelmed by all the changes, but she has already shown steady progress and is beginning to trust the people around her.

Lady is a shy girl with a very soft nature. She now happily takes tasty treats like squeezy cheese from gentle hands and will sit for a quiet fuss once she knows you. She can still look for a bit of reassurance, but she is very easy to handle and is showing more confidence each day.

Walks are still new to her, but she has started harness training and is doing brilliantly for a dog with no previous experience. She will need adopters who are happy to keep going at her pace and build her confidence slowly. Having a secure garden will help her continue practising until she’s fully ready for the outside world.

Because of her background, Lady will need a calm, adult-only home. A kind, confident resident dog is essential, as she relies on other dogs for guidance and comfort. A friendly companion will help show her the ropes of home life, house training, daily routines, and learning that people can be kind and safe.

Lady has a gentle heart and a lovely temperament, and with time, patience and reassurance she will continue to grow. She is a little dog with a lot of potential, and in the right home she will blossom into the devoted companion we know she can be.
