Jack
18-11-25 Jack has had quite a journey before coming to Many Tears. He originally lived in a loving home, but when his family had to move, they were sadly unable to take him with them. He then found safety in a dog sanctuary, until severe flooding meant he needed to be moved once again. Through it all, Jack has remained the sweetest, softest soul.
This lovely older lad is looking for an adult-only, collie-experienced home. We are told, and have seen that he can be reactive, but this only happens when another dog is initially reactive towards him and instigates the interaction. He seems to be fearful of other dogs out on walks, and his reactions come from that fear. However, this is being worked on, and he’s coming along brilliantly, gaining confidence every day with calm, steady guidance.
Jack can happily be an only dog, but he’s also content living with other dogs, as he is currently kenneled with both male and female dogs, as long as they match his chilled-out, easygoing nature. In many ways, he’s a Labrador in a collie’s body: relaxed, affectionate, and more interested in cuddles and comfort than the typical collie intensity.
What Jack wants most is simple: A comfy couch, a few quiet walks, and a peaceful place to enjoy life.
He knows his basics, including sit, and having lived in a home before, he’ll settle back into home life with ease. Jack truly deserves to find his forever home as soon as possible, a place where he can enjoy the warmth, love, and stability he’s been waiting far too long for.
If you have a calm home, collie experience, and room in your heart for a gentle old boy, Jack would love to meet you. Let’s help him spend his golden years exactly where he belongs, safe, loved, and finally home.
