19-12-25 Ford is a sweet and gentle little lad who came to Many Tears from a breeder and is now thriving in a foster home as he continues his journey towards a loving forever family. Although the world was initially very new and overwhelming for him, Ford has made wonderful progress and is growing in confidence every day.

With the help of his foster's kind resident dogs, Ford has learned so much by watching and copying those around him. He takes great comfort from other animals and would need a home with friendly, smallish resident dog(s) to help guide and reassure him. He has also been well and truly cat tested and has lived happily alongside a cat in foster.

Ford enjoys the simple pleasures in life, sitting in the garden listening to the birds, feeling the breeze on his face, and snuggling up on the sofa, bed, or under your feet while you work. He is affectionate, gentle, and loves being close to his people.

He is doing very well with his house training, with only a few accidents along the way, and is learning all the time. Impressively, Ford has learned to let himself outside using a cat flap. He has also started walking very short distances on a harness and lead and continues to build confidence with this. At night, he sleeps through cuddled up on the bed with his canine friends.

Ford is a curious little character, he’s fascinated by his own reflection, adores cuddles, and especially enjoys ham or chicken as a treat on a snuffle mat. While he’s not a big fan of the television, he has made progress and can now relax in the same room as long as it isn’t too loud.

Ford has glaucoma in one eye, though this does not appear to impact him in his day-to-day life. He also has a mature cataract in his right eye, with a possible cataract forming in the left. He has previously been treated for an ear infection and has had three teeth extracted at the time of his neuter. Any future eye-related treatment would not be covered by insurance.

Ford is a truly special little soul who has come on beautifully in foster. With a calm home, kind resident dogs, and patient, loving adopters, he will make a wonderfully rewarding companion and a very cherished family member.
