Pecan
27-11-25 These seven puppies have had the most extraordinary start in life.
Their mum, Poppy, was dangerously ill when she gave birth, starved almost to death and survival should have been impossible. But every two hours, day and night, they were tube-fed, cuddled, checked, and loved, and Poppy somehow found the strength to care for them too.
The pups kept Poppy alive, and we kept the pups alive, and because of this they have been handled from day one:
cuddled, carried, sung to, adored, and frequently found asleep in someone’s lap.
They are a week ahead of most puppies their age, bright, bold, confident, and needing homes where someone is home all day, with very occasional short absences. These are pups who will love deeply, attach deeply, and definitely get up to mischief if left to their own devices.
They all need guidance, patience, training, and ideally another friendly dog to show them the ropes. Raised with love, they will be sensational family members.
Sit down for five seconds and you’ll mysteriously find her already installed on you, as if delivered by teleportation. If she’s not on your lap, she’ll be tapping you gently with her paw, reminding you that entertainment is due.
She’s clever, bright, affectionate, and just a tiny bit bossy in the most charming way. You will never feel lonely again… or be able to eat a biscuit in peace.
Pecan has three great loves in life: food, play, and YOUR lap, always in that order.

Pecan’s adopter must agree to have her spayed when she is of age and to take her to socialization and training classes to help her grow into a well-adjusted adult dog.
Our retriever puppies are ready for loving homes. If you wish to donate towards their true cost, it will help us save more lives.
We will be accepting applications for the puppies at this time, but they will not be ready for their new homes until they are at least 8 weeks of age.
