Tamara
Tamara is a very sweet and pretty little Shih Tzu who has come to us from a breeder. She’s a gentle soul whose happiness isn’t always obvious, but her softly wagging tail gives her secret away, she is a happy little dog, just a little shy about showing it.
Since arriving at the rescue, Tamara has settled in beautifully and shown wonderful progress. We’ve discovered that she far prefers the company of humans to other dogs and doesn’t enjoy being kennelled with small dogs. Because of this, we feel she would be best suited to a home where she can be the only dog, receiving the reassurance and attention she thrives on.
Tamara has never lived in a home before, so she will need adopters who have plenty of time for her, ideally with experience of rescue dogs, and who can be with her for most of the day. She has begun harness training, and with gentle encouragement in her new home, she can start to enjoy little explorations and gradually build confidence.
Tamara really is a special and sweet little lady, looking for kind, patient humans to adore her and help her discover the joys of life as a cherished companion.
She has slightly blurry eye lenses, and a grape-sized mammary lump was removed at the time of her spay.
Tamara has been given the Gift of Life by Vicky Buckingham.
