Welly
10-12-25 Welly is a gentle little Cocker Spaniel who has joined us from a breeder. She was initially unsure about approaching us in the kennel, but she has always been easy to scoop up and handle, accepting this with quiet patience. Though a little coy, she has the softest, most endearing nature.
Welly continues to get along beautifully with other dogs, but she has grown in confidence and no longer relies on canine company for reassurance. She can be happily homed as an only dog, provided her adopters offer her the same calm, kind guidance she has thrived on with us. If she is to be homed with another dog, she can be a bit grumbly with other dogs at meal time so her adopters will have to be able to manage this and she will need to be fed separate. I have met cats at the rescue, so may be able to live with a dog savvy cat,
She has made lovely progress since arriving and is now walking nicely on a lead. As she has never lived in a home before, she will still need ongoing support with house training and learning the rhythms of day-to-day family life. With time and gentle encouragement, she will continue to blossom.
Our vets have identified an ear infection in her right ear, which is being investigated and treated to ensure she is comfortable and feeling her best. She has also had 2 teeth removed at the time of her spay.
Welly is a truly special little soul, sweet, sensitive, and full of potential. With patience, kindness, and a calm environment, she will no doubt grow into a loyal and loving companion who brings immense joy to the home lucky enough to welcome her.
She has a PETS travel document.
Welly has been given the Gift of Life by Barbara Hill
