Wattles
10-12-25 Wattles is an absolute sweetheart of a Cavalier who has come to us from a breeder in Ireland. She may take a moment to warm up, but once she does, she’s the first to come and say hello, tail wagging and full of charm. In the kennel, she loves to dart around and play with her friends, but when they leave, she quickly loses confidence and looks to follow, showing just how much she relies on their companionship.
Because Wattles depends on the presence of other dogs for reassurance, she will need a kind, confident resident dog in her new home to help guide her and provide comfort as she settles into her surroundings.
Having never lived in a home before, Wattles will need patient teaching with house training, lead walking, and the other basics of home life. She would also suit a home with older, dog-savvy children who understand that she’ll need a gentle introduction and her own quiet space to feel secure
Wattles has had a vet check, which revealed a small cyst that will be drained, as well as a previous scar on her tummy. She will also receive Malaseb baths to help her skin and fur feel healthy again, and a full groom is planned to help her look and feel her best. She has had 2 teeth extracted at the time of her spay. It has been noticed that she may have a hearing impairment and could be completely deaf, although this will be further assessed.
Despite these small health considerations, Wattles is destined to be the snuggliest lapdog and will make a devoted, loving companion in the right home.
She has a PETS travel document.
Wattles has been given the Gift of Life by Marjory Dexter
