Seren is a kind, gentle Beagle who came to us from a breeder and is looking for a chance at a different life. When she first arrived, she tried to be brave. She would approach for a greeting, placing her paws on your legs, but it didn’t take much for her confidence to fade. When things felt too much, she would quietly retreat, watching the world from a place where she felt safest.

She hadn’t known life outside of what she was used to, and it showed. Everything was new, and she needed time.

Seren is now in foster and is showing just how much she has been holding inside. She has settled well and takes huge comfort from the company of the other dogs. Being part of a group has helped her feel safer, and she follows their lead, finding reassurance in simply not being alone. For this reason, she will need a home with another friendly, confident dog.

Seren is learning how to live in a home. She is doing well with harness training and has started to enjoy calm, sniffy walks, taking the world in slowly. She has discovered the comfort of the sofa and loves to curl up alongside both dogs and people, happy just to be close.

Her confidence is growing, but she is still a sensitive girl. She enjoys affection and seeks out fuss, though new people can make her nervous. With time, patience, and kindness, she continues to take small steps forward every day.

Seren is very food motivated, as you would expect from a Beagle, which makes training easier and rewarding. She is a larger Beagle and can reach worktops, so her future home will need to be mindful about food being left out.

Seren has never had a home of her own. What she needs now is somewhere calm and understanding, where she can continue to build confidence at her own pace. She has already made quiet, meaningful progress, and in the right home, she will keep moving forward.
