Myles
Myles is a sensitive little boy who came into our care from a breeder and had clearly not experienced much gentle handling in his early life. When he first arrived, he was very unsure of people and easily overwhelmed, responding out of fear rather than understanding. With time, patience, and kindness, Myles has begun to show just how special he truly is.
Myles is one of those dogs who takes a little while to trust, but once that bond is formed, you become the centre of his world. He absolutely loves a cuddle with those he knows and would happily spend his time on your lap whenever possible. As his confidence has grown, his affectionate and devoted nature has really started to shine through.
He walks on a lead and enjoys his outings, although he will benefit from continued training and encouragements. Myles is good with other dogs and gains reassurance from their presence, but he does not like sharing his food or toys and can be a little jealous when it comes to attention. If he lives with other dogs, his new family will need to manage this sensibly and be mindful during feeding times and when giving fuss. Alternatively, Myles could live as an only dog with adopters who understand that he may be shy at first but will become a very loving companion once settled, and will probably become your little shadow in the home!
Myles enjoys his chew toys and is happy to be fussed even while enjoying them. He is still learning about the world and will need patient adopters who can continue to help him navigate everyday life at his own pace. As he has never lived in a home before, ongoing support with house training and routines will be required.
Due to his sensitive nature, Myles is looking for a calm, adult-only home with no children or visiting children, where he can feel safe and secure. A gentle, understanding environment will allow him to continue building confidence without pressure.
Myles’ ears were slightly inflamed at the time of castration; he has received treatment and may require monitoring in the future.
This boy is truly something special. In the right home, one filled with patience, consistency, and love, Myles will blossom into an exceptionally devoted and loyal companion. He so deserves the chance to finally feel safe and cherished.
Myles has a travel document.
