Dixie
06-12-25 Dixie has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is a dinky little girl who is very sweet, but she is understandably overwhelmed and a little worried to find herself here right now. Everything is new and strange to her, and she is very much in need love, patience, and plenty of TLC as she starts to settle and gain confidence.
Dixie will be looking for a calm and quiet home where she can take her time to adjust at her own pace. She relies on the company of other dogs to feel safe and supported, so she will need a home with at least one other kind and confident resident dog who can guide her. As she is such a petite girl, she would be happiest with dogs of a similar size who won’t overwhelm her.
Dixie has never lived in a home before, so her adopters must be patient and understanding as she learns about all the sights, sounds, and routines of home life, including new skills like house training, which will come with time and reassurance.
She will also need to learn how to walk on a lead and harness, and this should begin slowly in a secure garden, where she can practise safely until she gains the courage to explore further.
Dixie has so much potential tucked behind her worries, and with the right family to support her, she will blossom into a loving, loyal little companion. She just needs a kind heart and a gentle hand to help her find her way.
Dixie has a travel document.
