04-12-25 Chocolate is one of several dogs rescued from a repossessed home where they had been left abandoned in truly heartbreaking conditions, with urine and feces caked throughout. With no one to care for them, the dogs were left to fend for themselves. Thankfully, despite the state of the home, all of the dogs were in surprisingly good condition, suggesting they once knew love and care. Now, they are here at Many Tears and are ready to start their journey towards finding their perfect forever homes.

Chocolate is a very sweet boy who is happy to approach you to say hello when everything is quiet and calm, but he can become overwhelmed when there is too much going on and will quickly retreat to hide. Because of this, Chocolate will need a calm, peaceful home where he can take things at his own pace and feel safe as he settles in.

He relies on other dogs for comfort and so will need another kind and confident resident dog in his new home who can take him under their wing. Having a canine friend to guide him will help build his confidence and show him that the world doesn’t have to be a scary place.

Chocolate has lived in a home before, but he may need to learn house training and will also need gentle encouragement as he begins to learn about walking on a lead and harness.

This lovely boy has so much potential and just needs the right family to help him blossom. With time, kindness, and a canine friend by his side, we think he is going to make the most wonderful friend.

Chocolate arrived with a previously fractured tail and unfortunately our vets have had to amputate this for his comfort, but he is recovering well. Our vets have also noted that he has slightly thickened ear pinnas, but they are not currently causing any issues.
