Christmas
21-01-26 Christmas came into our care as part of a group of dogs rescued from a repossessed home, where they had been left abandoned in truly heartbreaking conditions. Urine and faeces were caked throughout the property, and with no one to care for them, the dogs were left to fend for themselves. Thankfully, despite the awful environment they were found in, all of the dogs were in surprisingly good condition, suggesting they had once known love and kindness. Now safe at Many Tears, they are ready to begin their journey towards finding their perfect forever homes.
Christmas is learning to walk on a harness and is doing really well in the yard with it. She can be a little timid when first meeting new people, but once she feels safe, her sweet and affectionate nature truly shines. After spending a little quiet time with her, she quickly opens up and loves nothing more than cuddles, she’ll happily curl up in your lap for love and reassurance.
Although Christmas has lived in a sort of home before environment before, she doesn’t appear to be fully house trained and will need kind, patient adopters to gently show her how to be clean in the home. With consistency and understanding, this is something she should pick up quickly. She will need a resident dog in her new home to help continue building her confidence and to look to as she learns about her new environment. She has met cats at the rescue fine and so could possibly be homed with a dog savvy cat in the right circumstances.
Christmas has a truly lovely personality and will make a wonderful, loyal companion. With patience, kindness, and plenty of affection, she will blossom into a devoted family member in her forever home.
