14-12-25 Atticus has come to us from a home, through no fault of his own. Very sadly, his owner is terminally ill and could no longer care for him. Having had his whole world turned upside down, Atticus is understandably heartbroken, confused and finding kennel life incredibly difficult.

He is the sweetest boy, but the sudden change has left him very sad and we would love nothing more than to find him his perfect new home as soon as possible. It has been lovely to see that Atticus is starting to get excited when he sees his regular kennel carers, and with time, love and kindness we are confident that he will settle again in a home environment.

We are told Atticus is a Collie x Labradoodle, although we suspect he may have a little sighthound in him too, but whatever his breed mix, he is a very handsome boy.

Atticus has shown some signs of food guarding, so for this reason he will be looking for an adult only home and would benefit from adopters who have experience with dogs who show similar behaviours and can manage this sensibly and calmly.

He has previously lived in a home and should be house trained, although he may need a few gentle reminders as he settles back into home life. Atticus walks well on a lead and would love going out on walks and enjoying adventures with his new family.

Atticus has always lived as an only dog and we feel he would be happiest being homed as the only dog, where he can have all the love and attention to himself. He will need a home without cats or small furries.

Atticus is a very special boy who has lost everything familiar to him. He is longing for a calm, understanding home where he can feel safe and loved again and in return he will give his whole heart to the family who offers him that chance.
