  • Human family requirements

I would like a home filled with love and kindness!

  • Other pet requirements

I need either a male resident dog or a larger female dog. I haven't met cats.

  • House and garden requirements

I would like a secure garden to spend time in.

  • Out and about requirements

I can walk on a lead and would like an active home.

  • Training needs

I have never lived in a home so I will need help to learn house training.

  • Medical issues

I have Grade 1 luxating patellas, which may improve with gentle exercise.

Meet Hana, our beautiful Shiba Inu girl who has come to us from a breeder after not getting along with her sister. Hana is a sweet and sensitive soul who arrived a little unsure of the world, but she is making lovely progress every day.

Hana may be initially shu, but she is a friendly girl who is happy to come over to say hello, especially once she feels comfortable. As her confidence grows, her true personality is beginning to shine through, she’s a gentle little diva with plenty of charm and character, and she absolutely loves a calm fuss and attention from people she trusts.

Hana has never lived in a home environment before, so she will need patient and understanding adopters who can allow her to settle at her own pace. A calm and quiet household would suit her best, where she can feel safe and secure while learning all about home life, including house training and everyday routines.

We feel Hana would thrive in a home with a kind, confident male resident dog or a female dog who is larger than her, who can be both a friend and a guide for her as she continues to build confidence.

Hana already knows how to walk nicely on a lead and we think she will really enjoy gentle walks and future adventures with her new family as her confidence continues to grow.

Hana has Grade 1 luxating patellas, which currently have little impact on her day-to-day life. With gentle exercise to help build muscle and ongoing monitoring by her adopters and their vet, this condition should be very manageable.

With love, patience, and reassurance, Hana is sure to blossom into a truly wonderful companion. Her sweet nature, quirky personality, and growing confidence are guaranteed to steal the hearts of those lucky enough to welcome her into their home.
