Cheers
19-01-26 Cheers is a happy Shih Tzu Cross that has come into our care from a breeder in search of a new start. We are not sure what she is crossed with; we think it could be a Frenchie or even a Pug, but we can't know for certain. She loves greeting everyone in the kennel and is always curious to see what’s going on around her.
At the moment, Cheers is feeling a little less brave and takes comfort from the company of her kennel friends. We believe she would thrive in a home with another confident dog to help guide her and give her reassurance, although we’ll continue to assess her confidence to see if she could adapt to being an only dog in the future.
As Cheers has never lived in a home before, she will need patient teaching with house training, lead walking, and all the basics of home life. She would also be best suited to a home with older, dog-savvy children who can understand that she will need a gentle introduction and her own safe space to settle in.
Cheers has a corneal ulcer in the right eye which has caused, reflex uveitis that she is currently receiving treatment for, a low-grade heart murmur, a mild underbite, and an underdeveloped floating rib on her left side. Despite this, her mobility is excellent, and she enjoys being active and playful.
Cheers is a wonderful little girl with a zest for life. She is kind, affectionate, and full of playful energy, and she is looking for a home that can match her enthusiasm while giving her the patience and support she needs to thrive.
