Amber
30-12-25 Amber is a sweet older lady who originally came to us from a breeder in 2019 and was adopted into a loving home. Sadly, she has been returned due to her previous owner’s declining health. Amber is clearly missing her home, and we hope to find her a new loving family as soon as possible so she can continue enjoying the comforts and companionship she deserves in her golden years.
Her previous owner felt they could no longer meet Amber’s needs for attention, adventure, and care, and she would thrive in a home where she can enjoy plenty of walks and, of course, lots of fuss and affection.
Since returning to us, Amber has been an absolute angel. She is a loving, gentle soul, and it’s clear she has been deeply loved. We know she will flourish in a new home where she can spend the rest of her life happily.
When Amber first came to us she was shy and nervous, and almost shut down. Since her time in the home, she has blossomed into a loving companion. She is now a confident dog who can be homed as an only, and walks well on a lead and travels nicely in the car. We are told she is an extremely sociable lady who loves meeting new friends out and about and has lived with two other dogs in her previous home and can live with a kind resident dog who doesn't mind sharing their space dependent on a successful meet and greet. She is great with new people, especially if they offer her a treat and is just a well rounded princess.
Amber has had a lump removed from the right stifle in her previous home, she has healed well but may need to continue to be checked as she ages. She has been seen by our vets who have noted age related cataracts and nuclear sclerosis of the eyes.
Having lived in a home before, Amber likely knows the basics like house training, though she may need some reminders in a new environment. This wonderful lady is ready to enjoy her golden years and will make a devoted and loving companion in her new home.
