I would like a secure garden to spend time in.

  • Out and about requirements

I’ve never been on walks before and will need a gentle introduction.

I have never lived in a home so I will need help to learn house training.

  • Medical issues

I am overweight, have a Grade 1 heart murmur and am being treated for sore ears.

29-01-26 This beautiful girl is Mildred and she has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is a very worried girl at the moment who is overwhelmed to find herself here and isn't sure of our intentions just yet.

Mildred will be looking for a calm and quiet home, with adopters who have experience with scared ex-breeding dogs and who will let her settle in at her own pace. She relies heavily on her kennel friends for comfort and will need a home where there is at least one other kind and confident resident dog to be her friend and take her under their wing.

She has never lived in a home before so she will need patient and understanding adopters who can gently guide her as she learns all about home life and new skills like house training. She will also need to learn all about walking on a lead and harness, first practicing in a secure garden until she gains confidence.

Despite her worries, we can tell that Mildred is a very sweet girl and with lots of love, kindness and TLC she will blossom into the most wonderful companion.

She is a little overweight at the moment, but with a good diet and gentle exercise, she should soon shed the excess. She has a Grade 1 heart murmur that has been detected, but this doesn't bother her and will need to be monitored for any potential future treatment. She is also being treated for sore ears currently.
