03-02-26 Maddie is a gorgeous but sensitive girl who has come to us from a breeder. She can feel overwhelmed on her own and may shut down when she’s away from her doggy friends, but when she’s around other dogs, her confidence truly blossoms. In their company, she becomes gentle, affectionate, and seeks out comfort and reassurance.

She happily comes down to the big play yard, walks on a lead, and is a very sweet, soft-natured girl who enjoys affection once she feels safe. Maddie is loving and gentle with people, and her trusting nature shines through more each day.

Maddie will need a friendly, confident resident dog in her new home who she can look to for reassurance and guidance as she learns about everyday home life. Having a canine companion is essential for her to feel secure and settle successfully.

She has never lived in a home, so her adopters will need to be kind, patient, and understanding as she learns house training and the routines of family life. She will also benefit from continued gentle encouragement and positive experiences to help her confidence continue to grow.

Maddie does show a little food guarding around other dogs, so she will need to be fed separately, this is very easily managed and once she is separated she eats happily alone.

She could live with older, sensible children who understand the importance of giving her space while she settles. Once she feels safe, she will absolutely adore home life and all the comforts it brings.

Maddie has come to us a little overweight and will need a healthy diet and lifestyle in her new home.

With the right support, patience, and love, Maddie has the potential to become a truly wonderful companion and a deeply loyal best friend.
