  • Human family requirements

I’d be happy with teenagers who respect my space.

  • Other pet requirements

I need a resident dog to help me feel safe. I've never met cats so I'm unsure!

  • House and garden requirements

I will need a secure garden while I get used to my new home.

  • Out and about requirements

I'm still getting used to my new life so a secure garden for me to explore is ideal.

  • Training needs

I’ve never lived in a home, so I need to learn housetraining and lead walking.

  • Medical issues

I’ve started my vaccinations and I have been spayed. Read below for more!

28-01-26 Madge is a beautiful Cavalier who has come into our care from a breeder in search of a fresh start. She is gentle and sweet-natured, with the soft, innocent temperament the breed is so well known for. While her initial response to people can be to retreat and run, with time, patience, and the calm environment of a loving home, we are confident she will blossom and begin to show her true personality.

Madge gets on wonderfully with her kennel friends and takes great comfort in their company. For this reason, she will need a kind, confident resident dog in her new home to help guide her and provide the reassurance she needs as she settles in and finds her paws.

As Madge has never lived in a home before, she will need gentle guidance as she learns about house training, walking on a lead, and the other basics of home life.

Madge has come to us with 5 missing teeth and a fluid filled cyst under her tail which has been drained, but has been re-filled. Our vets are not concerned and no further action is needed, but it will need to be continue to be monitored.

She could share her home with older, dog-savvy teenagers who understand that she will need a calm, quiet introduction to her new surroundings and her own space to settle in.
