Berry
08-02-26 Berry is a lovable boy who has come to us from a breeder and is naturally a little shy. He will need plenty of TLC, patience, and gentle encouragement as he continues to build his confidence. He hasn't had much socialisation before and can be quite worried about our intentions at the moment and is touch sensitive, but once in your arms he does settle.
Berry will need a home with a kind, calm resident dog who can help guide him as he learns about trust, compassion, and everyday life in a home environment. Having a canine role model will support him as he begins house training and starts learning how to walk on a lead.
As Berry has never lived in a home before, he will need patient guidance with house training and lead walking. For now, gentle garden sniffs and quiet outdoor exploration will be a perfect first step as he adjusts to his new surroundings and gains confidence. We are told that Berry is a Maltese, although we believe he may be crossed with another small breed.
Berry is a truly sweet boy who simply needs time, understanding, and patience as he begins his journey into his new life and learns what it means to feel safe and loved.
Berry has come to us with possible partial oculocutaneous albinism, meaning there is reduced melanin pigmentation in his eyes which may give them a whitish appearance, but our vets have said this is nothing to worry about and does not affect his health or quality of life. However, this will need to be monitored in the home for any future treatment that he may need.
Berry has a travel document.
