13-02-26 Zandra is a lovely, gentle, and affectionate girl who originally came to us from a breeder. She was adopted for a short period but has since returned to our care after displaying some behaviours in the home that we were not previously aware of. She is now back with us while we search for a home that truly matches her individual needs.

Zandra absolutely adores people. She greets you with a calm wagging tail, loves giving cuddles and kisses, and simply wants to follow you around and please you. She happily takes treats and has charmed all the volunteers she has met with her sweet nature and loving personality.

In her previous home, Zandra displayed some food guarding behaviours and showed some dominant behaviours around the other animals in the household. She did not look to the other pets for comfort and would be much happier as the only animal in the home. For this reason, she is looking for an adult-only household where she can have consistency, understanding, and clear boundaries.

Zandra can be a little wary when left alone, so she will need adopters who are around for much of the day initially and are willing to work gently and patiently on building her confidence with alone time.

She had started learning house training, as well as basic cues such as “sit” and “leave it,” and was clean in the home. She may need some reminders and continued guidance as she settles into a new environment, but she is eager to learn and responds well to positive reinforcement.

Zandra is also beginning to learn how to walk on a lead and is making lovely progress. With continued encouragement, she will grow in confidence and enjoy exploring the world by your side.

With the right adult-only home, plenty of love, and ongoing guidance, Zandra will make a devoted and rewarding companion.

Zandra has a travel document.
