Winona
Winona is a waggy and inquisitive little lady who has come to us from a breeder. When she first arrived, she was a little timid and worried about being handled, but she has wasted no time in coming out of her shell and has truly blossomed. Winona has now moved to a foster home where she has taken to home life like a duck to water!
She is a sweet and gentle girl, who was happy to make friends with the resident dogs straight away and now spends most of her time following her foster family around the home. She had never lived in a home before moving to foster, but is quickly learning all about home life and new skills like house training. She is happy to use the garden for toileting, but does need encouragement to go outside when it's cold or wet.
Winona has also learned all about walking on a lead and harness and has discovered that she really enjoys going for walks! She is taking everything in her stride and coping wonderfully with new experiences. She has even met a cat on a walk and ignored him, so may be able to live with a dog savvy cat in the right circumstances.
She will be looking for a home where there was at least one other kind and confident resident dog to be her friend and help her settle in to her new life. She has met children in her foster home and so we would consider homing her with dog savvy older children or teenagers who understand that she would need time and space to settle in.
Winona is a truly wonderful girl and we think she is going to blossom into the most wonderful companion, so please don't leave her waiting.
She has had 5 teeth removed at the time of her spay. Shortly after arrival, our vets noted that she was walking with a slight limpĀ on her right hind leg, this was monitored and resolved itself and has caused no further issues for her.
Winona has has a travel document.
