Winnie
03-02-26 Winnie is a gentle, nervous girl who has come to us from a breeder and is heartbreakingly very unsure about being handled. While she is reluctant to approach people directly, she shows lovely curiosity and a growing spark of confidence. When her kennel companions are being fussed, Winnie often comes trotting over with her tail wagging, eager to join in, but unfortunately, begins to retreat again if attention turns towards her.
She gains great reassurance from her canine friends and will need a calm, confident resident dog in her new home to guide her, give her confidence, and help her learn that the world can be a safe place. Winnie will thrive in a patient, understanding home where she is allowed to settle at her own pace, with adopters who will gently support her as she begins to build trust and experience love and companionship for the first time.
As Winnie has never lived in a home environment, she will need kind and tolerant adopters who are prepared to help her learn about house training and lead walking. The outside world may feel overwhelming initially, so beginning with quiet garden time and gentle exploration would be ideal. She could live with sensible, dog-savvy older children who understand that she will need time and space to feel secure.
Winnie is such an amazing lady who just needs time, love, patience and a warm home where she can begin to settle and learn about trust.
She has had 6 teeth extracted at the time of her spay.
Winnie has a travel document.
